Global Pouch Forum to Unpack M&A Moves in the Flexible Packaging Sector

2025-03-13

The Global Pouch Forum, which will be held in Clearwater, Florida from June 18–20, will include a number of must-attend seminars that will offer crucial information to anybody working in flexible packaging.

Leading one of those sessions –“Key Trends Driving M&A Activity in Film and Flexible Packaging”–will be Rick Weil, Managing Director, Co-Head of Packaging, at Mesirow Investment Banking.

Over the past 20 years, there has been a significant amount of M&A activity to consolidate the flexible packaging industry.  The flood of private equity funding and selective involvement from major, publicly traded corporations in the industry have been major contributors to this spike in activity.

-Engage in a robust, expanding, and fragmented packaging services industry that caters to desirable end packaging markets.

-Encourage upgrades and advancements by making investments in technology, people, and equipment.

-When feasible, attain cost reductions, efficiencies, and synergies.

-Address difficult regulatory requirements, such as those pertaining to security, traceability, sustainability, and anti-counterfeiting procedures.

-Among other things, offer creative answers to new consumer trends in digital printing and sustainability.

About Global Pouch Forum

With the vision that the flexible pouch would emerge as the dominant force in packaging, the Global Pouch Forum was founded in 1997.  Now, after 28 years of experience and innovation, the Global Pouch Forum is still the premier gathering for leaders and innovators who create, provide, purchase, or suggest flexible materials, such as pouches, films, and machinery, as well as for getting the most recent information from specialists.

This yearly event serves as a doorway to both new and existing innovations in the flexible packaging business, such as the expanding possibilities for employing pouch packaging for consumer packaged goods (CPGs) such as food, drinks, personal care, cosmetics, domestic products, healthcare, and medical.
